Tom Ford Lavender Palm is an aromatic women's and men's fragrance with citrus, floral, fresh spicy, and woody main accords. It's best for spring and summer day wear. The scent opens with head notes of lavender, Amalfi lemon, bergamot, and clary sage. The heart notes follow with lemon blossom and pink nerium oleander. Vetiver, olibanum, and oak moss base notes close this composition, which was created by perfumer Yann Vasnier of Givaudan in 2011.
Ford is an American fashion designer who graduated from the Parsons School of Design in New York with an architecture degree. He interned at Chloe before gaining fashion industry experience with Cathy Hardwick and Perry Ellis before joining Gucci, eventually becoming its creative director in 1992. He created his namesake brand in 2005, offering fashion, eyewear, and accessories. Ford also entered into a partnership with Estee Lauder to develop fragrances and cosmetics.
