Roger & Gallet was founded in France by Charles Armand Roger and Charles Martial Gallet in 1862. This perfume house has been making and selling fragrances from rare plants and essential oils ever since. They have recently broadened their offerings into perfumed soaps, scented body products, and candles. In 2008 the house was purchased by the well-known and established French cosmetics firm, L'Oreal.
Merchant Charles Armand Roger and banker Charles Martial Gallet founded the French perfume company, Roger & Gallet, in 1862 when they purchased the family fragrance business of Jean Marie Farina.
