I have used since it was created in the late 80's. One of my "go-to" fragrances.

For most, my description of this scent could come across as unsavory. I've been told I'm strange before; your opinion of such is not the first. Boo hoo hoo; it won't be the last, either. This (original) Perry Ellis cologne has been pretty much my signature scent from shortly after the time it was introduced, going on forty years now. A little background on me. I grew up on a farm. We raised cattle and other livestock and come the spring through the fall of the year we always had a crop which required attention. So forty years back, there was something about this scent I found appealing. Take in consideration the mens fragrance landscape back then. You had green Polo, Aramis, Lagerfeld and not much else in the affordable designer range. Those scents were generally overpowering. I was in college back then; I also worked in a hospital. Walk into a college lecture hall and have your nasal passages assaulted by college boys who wore Polo to impress. In the hospital, they would generally discourage use of strong-scented colognes. That is, if one wasn't a doctor. Many physicians were like college boys when it came to wearing too much cologne. I mean, if you knew Dr. X had or was making rounds from smelling their cologne in the hallway, that is too much. At that stage of my life, I was learning to appreciate my agrarian upbringing. If one hasn't put in a good day's work outdoors, enough to break a little bit of a sweat, they will not understand my description. After one has put in some hours outdoors, whether it be working cattle or some other project and one has raised a mild sweat, after you've cooled down, you have a very earthy smell. At the upper edge of that scent is a sweetness. That sweet, earthy (not musky) smell is very close to the scent of Perry Ellis Original. So if you seek to attract a gal that wants a man not afraid to get down and dirty, one that appreciates the value of a good day's work, Perry Ellis Original Scent might be a good match for you.

I have used this product for over 30 years. It is one of my staples in grooming.

It is near my shaver and I apply each morning. I have cut back on how much I apply so I don't smell too strong like some of the ladies do.

This is for my husband.

I wear Perry Ellis original scent every day. I get compliments from both women and men. It's a very clean scent and lasts all day. I've worn Perry Ellis since 1985. I also used the Deodorant, Shower gel, shave lotion, lotion and even the liquid powder when they were available. I wish the shower gel was still available.

Will not buy this product again. Smells awful.
