Samba Amber by Perfumers Workshop Cologne.
Released in 2016 as part of the Samba collection that began in 1987, Samba Amber is an oriental woodsy scent for men. A decidedly masculine fragrance, it was designed by the perfumer Ilias Ermenidis. For a fresh opening, the top notes include mandarin orange, bergamot and cinnamon. The middle notes are comprised of juniper, nutmeg, balsam and fig. Base notes of amber, tonka bean, leather and vetiver provide a deep and smoky finish that rounds off the
fragrance. This luxuriously sensual aroma is charmingly masculine with a blend of florals and woodsy flavors for an alluring result.
Perfumers Workshop was founded in 1971 by Gun and Donald Bauchner. The goal behind the original idea was to produce customized fragrances for each customer and they achieved that with a contract at Bloomingdale’s. Later, they began to release commercial fragrances for everyone. The first of these perfumes is also the most popular one, released in 1977 and called Tea Rose, which was worn by Princess Diana and Grace Kelly, among others.
