Oscar de la Renta is a Spanish fashion designer born in 1932. His education includes Madrid’s Academy of San Fernando where he studied painting. He had an elaborate career in fashion while he lived in Spain including working for Cristobal Balenciaga as the leading couturier. He moved to the United States in 1963 and launched his own company two years later.
