Nina L'extase Rose Absolue Perfume

I put it on just before bed - my husband says it is his favourite perfume but to be honest I wear it just as much for me to drift off to sleep in a cosy decadent haze of roses - sometimes I mix a little with a touch of Tom Ford Noir de Noir as I love the similarities and differences of the two which float along happily intertwined all night and I wake up as if I slept in a bed of rose petals

The sample I got from the shop is much stronger and long lasting. This one is weak and has none of the top notes listed. It also doesn't last.

A good but not that persistent alternative for Oud buquet Maison Lancome or for MFK Satin Oud. I recommend it for someone who love the rose-oud scent, but with a lower persistence for sensitive noses 🙂

I was expecting something more classic floral/rose, perhaps musky, spicy, or woody. It is none of those. This is a sweet, gourmand scent with a strong ethyl maltol, sugary cotton-candy note amongst a syrupy rose. The bottle is gorgeous, though it really doesn't match the name or the juice inside. It's a very contemporary scent, luckily without that terrible fake oud that pollutes every other release these days. The price is right, it's long-lasting on skin and fabric, albeit without much change from top to base notes. Recommended if you like sweet, gourmand, tenacious rose scents.
