Cuir Cuba Intense by Nicolai Perfume. Cuir Cuba Intense is a leather fragrance that first hit the market in 2014. In fact, "cuir" is actually the French word for "leather." The top of the perfume is surprisingly spicy thanks to the combination of star anise and licorice that mixes with Sicilian lemon and mint. This fragrance comes to us from Patricia de Nicolaï. She is a Guerlain family relative, so it is safe to say that perfuming is in her blood. After graduating from the famed Isipca school in France, she began working with Florasynth and Quest International before starting her own fragrance company in 1989.
