Born in 1963, Marc Jacobs quickly rose in the fashion world after graduating from a New York design school in 1981. By 1986, he launched his first line of womenswear through Kashiyama. His talent drew the attention of Perry Ellish, a company he worked for from 1988 to 1993. The next year, he released his first menswear line, which led to a creative director role at Louis Vuitton. The perfume world began calling his name, so he worked with Cody to launch his perfume in 2001. Its success led to the release of a men’s cologne. Since then, he has continued to create innovative and unique fashions and fragrances.
