First released in 2011, Vocalise Les Eaux Extravagantes by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier ("Master Perfumer and Glovemaker") is a jasmine-infused reprise of the original Vocalise from 1993. Established in 1988 by Jean Laporte, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier is a French perfume house that takes its inspiration from the great olfactory artists of 17th century Paris. The first scents were released in 1988: Freesia d'Or and Fraiche Passiflore for women. Contemporary fragrances are made in collaboration with perfumers Jean-Paul Millet Lage, Jeanne-Marie Faugier, Nicolas de Barry and Jean-Francois Laporte.
