Judith Leiber was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1921. As a young Jewish woman during World War Ii, her father saved her life with a Swiss Shutzpass which is currently preserved in Washington D.C.'s Holocaust Museum. From her humble beginnings sewing bags by hand in Budapest, she has become a world renowned designer.
