Founded in France in 1978, Jeanne Arthes became part of the Arthes group of the Grasse “cradle of perfume” nine years later, and began mass market distribution first in France, then internationally. Their most successful fragrance is Cobra, originally released in the 1980’s and then relaunched as a special edition scent in 2008 on the 30th anniversary of the perfume house. The nose behind the fragrances is Jean-Pierre Bethouart.
