Tuxedo by Irma Shorell Perfume. Bottling the best of both spice and florals, Tuxedo by Irma Shorell is a re-release of a formula first launched by
Ralph Lauren in 1979. A sultry oriental fragrance, it opens with tangy tarragon and buttery ylang ylang punctuated with an exciting twist of bergamot and bright lemon. Middle notes of gardenia, night-blooming jasmine, lily and narcissus blossom around clove and coriander with a soft caress of rose and peach. Spicy in the dry down, it has rich base
notes of rare labdanum, sensual musk, amber, sandalwood, oakmoss and rich vetiver.
A classic scent with a spicy heart that cannot be contained by black-tie formality, Tuxedo’s boldness has brought it the status of a classic. After the Irma Shorell company acquired the formula, it was re-released as part of its Long Lost Perfume division, run by American designer Jeffrey Dame. Other notable classics given new life by this division include the beloved fragrances Crepe de Chine and My Sin. Bottled in clear glass with glints of gold at the label and cap, this fragrance is sure to bring back memories.
