Aqua Allegoria Gentiana by Guerlain Perfume. Launched in 2001, Aqua Allegoria Gentiana is a citrus fragrance for women.
Citrus notes of grapefruit, lime, bergamot and orange open the fragrance with a burst of zest. Gentiana takes over in the heart with the addition of pear. The base consists of sandalwood, vanilla and musk for a long-lasting springtime fragrance. The fresh, demure gentian brings a feeling of finally reaching the summit of a mountain and taking a deep breath of cold, woodsy air.
The bottle reminds one of haute couture in the 1920s.
With over 175 years in business, French perfume house Guerlain started selling toiletries in 1828. Slowly they moved into making perfumes. The business stayed in the family until 1994 when Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey acquired the company in 1994. They have created nearly 400 fragrances for men and women. The Aqua Allegoria line captures a different garden smell in each fragrant bottle to entice the senses.
