Though the Frapin perfume house opened in 2002, its roots extend back to the founding of the cognac house in 1270. Its first fragrance was named 1270 in honor of the cognac house, and in honor of the business that has remained in the family for 20 generations. Genevieve Frapin and her husband, Max Cointreau, continue to run the business in France. The brand currently markets 14 fragrances for men and women, all crafted in collaboration with esteemed perfumers.
