SOME MAY LIKE IT.
I like the scent of gardenia; however, this fragrance doesn't smell like pure gardenia. I prefer jasmine.

I smell like I just stepped out of a shower in heaven!
I wear it everyday. I am a nurse and must be sure my scent isn't "overpowering" I have been treating the same patients over 3 years. Many have lost their sense of smell because of COVID-19. One thing I've been told as they recover is that I smell wonderful ♥️

A memorable encounter
This was my first "grown up fragrance" my mother chose it for me, saying it was "appropriate" for a young girl" That was many years ago! recently ran into an old beau, he commented that he recalled the memorable scent I was wearing. He remembered it well, it was a long time ago! I have gone back to it often, thinking " it is appropriate for an older woman" !

Liz Taylor has done it again
This can be overpowering if you're not confident. Or wear too much. I like to use it as a base and soften it with a clean scent or with rose. I love gardenia. And never was a real Liz Taylor perfume fan until now. It's a nice bold gardenia with a few notes to offset it a bit.

I love the scent of Gardenia. That being said, this does have a bit of a magnolia vs Gardenia thing going on. And it is very strong. And I like strong scents. But this is overpowering. It doesn't stink or smell "chemical" like some Gardenia fragrances. But seriously, use it sparingly. I add a little to an almond scented lotion and use it that way. It tones it down a bit.

Lovely and light- but not what I wanted
I love gardenia and was looking for a Gardenia scent as I no longer have the Gardenia oil I once had. I saw this and it looked so pretty and was at least reasonably priced. Well.. while I love the definite Gardenia scent( light airy floral and softly sensual) , there was another definite scent that ( to me!) smells like *Magnolia*. Now, I don't hate Magnolia, but I wanted the Gardenia only! The Magnolia (or whatever it is) isn't a subtle scent that brings out the Gardenia- it's another scent! However my best friend loved it and is very pleased with it so I gladly gave it to her and she's enjoying it. :-)

I will Consistently keep this in my perfume rotation
House of Liz aka Elizabeth Taylor's Gardenia. Starts off with a blast of true fresh/green LOTV. Followed by a mellower ( but not weak, but not too strong) Authentic Lovely living Gardenia. It pretty much stays this way throughout the duration of the wear of the perfume until the last few hours when bits of an ambery note, mixed in with the Gardenia. The perfume has fairly strong silage the first hour or so depending on your skin type and your tolerance for fragrances. After the first hour it calms down to a very respectful silage. Enough where others within about 16 inches can smell it. Though you can still smell the perfume, (but may be anosmic to the scent a bit.). Honestly, if you've ever worn, tried, samples, or smelled Aerin Lauder's Rattan Gardenia or Tubereüse Gardenia. This smells like them. The silage and longevity is very good. Expeditentially so for the price point. Perfume.com has the best price on ET Gardenia, which BTW is becoming increasingly more difficult to find. Stock up ladies!
