Demeter Pomander by Demeter Cologne. Demeter Pomander is a 2018 unisex fragrance featuring amber, spicy and fruit accords.
The fragrance’s name comes from the French “pomme d’amber,” translating as “apple of amber.” This ball of perfumes, herbs or spices first appeared in the 13th century and was worn as a pendant on a neck chain or hanging from a belt. Demeter’s fragrance blends apple, cinnamon and amber notes, producing a honeyed, peppery, woody and warm scent profile with crisp and tart
Perfumer Christopher Brosius and business partner Christopher Gable created Demeter Fragrance Library in 1993. The brand’s atypical approach to fragrance crafting produced its first three scents in 1996 plus the nearly 400 perfumes that followed. Standouts include its first three offerings – Dirt, Grass and Tomato – along with Kitten Fur, New Baby, Pixie Dust, Gin & Tonic, Patchouli and Hawaiian Vanilla. The company founded its Italian-based European division, The Library of Fragrance, in 2015.
