Demeter Macadamia Nut by Demeter Perfume. Macadamia trees originated in Australia, but the not-so-humble macadamia nut we know comes from Hawaii.
The big island became home to macadamia plantations during the late 1800s. Macadamia crops are still cultivated there today, and Demeter Macadamia Nut harnesses its distinctive aroma. This unisex gourmand fragrance reveals the many facets of this note: a light nutty scent with creamy, buttery, earthy and aldehydic undertones.
Library introduced a new angle to perfume crafting: uncommon scents with higher perfume oil ratios that lasted longer on the skin. Experimental fragrance crafter Christopher Brosius paired up with marketing genuine Christopher Gable and launched the brand’s first three scents in 1996: Tomato, Grass and Dirt. From these three, the brand quickly became successful with celebrities like Kate Moss and RuPaul wearing their favorites. This strategy has served the company well – it has released nearly 400 scents and opened a European division in 2015.
