Vetiver Dana by Dana Cologne. First released in 2001, Vetiver Dana is an aromatic citrus and spice fragrance with wood and floral accords. The top notes are crisp and bracing with lemon, sparkling grapefruit and bergamot. This bright, fresh introduction blends quickly into an herbal heart of lavender, basil and rosemary spiced with pepper and clove and laced with pungent-sweet neroli. Dana perfume house was established by Javier Serra in 1932. Serra, former executive for the perfume house Myrugia in Spain, moved his company to Paris shortly after creating the brand. The name comes from Danae of Greek mythology, the iconic beauty who was consort to Zeus and mother of the hero Perseus. The first fragrance released was Tabu, which was made in collaboration with the famed perfumer Jean Carles and is still in production today.
