Canoe has been sold as a man's Cologne since early 60's
The product in the 60s was a Cologne with a much stronger fragrance. Today Canoe seems to be watered down but it still is the most pleasing fragrance around.

Originally was Blue Jeans
This was originally the young women's cologne "Blue Jeans" back in the mid to late 70's!!! I was a Freeman in high school when it came out and I immediately loved it!!! I always got compliments on the fragrance and even a young teenager could afford it. Then once we fell in love with the fragrance it disappeared and Canoe for men was born...

Stay away from the "unboxed colonge"
Comes in a plain glass spay bottle with just the word CANOE on it. Not like the boxed version. Does not smell like canoe one ioda. I think it is a rip off.

I would NOT buy this product again.....
There is nothing about this cologne that might be "The" original except maybe the packaging. THIS IS NOT the original Canoe fragrance!!I tossed it, ...I just didn't want to go through the hassle of returning

Perfect for everyday use.
I alternate daily between a heaver aftershave and Canoe. The Canoe is always light, fresh smelling and refreshing and is my go to for everyday use.
