Via Camerelle by Carthusia Perfume. Via Camerelle is delicious daytime fragrance that combines citrus, florals and spice to create a compelling yet
subtle scent. First released in 2006, The top notes are airy, bright and crisp with Seville orange, bergamot and lemon, and just a hint of marjoram. This fresh introduction blends into an intoxicating floral heart of cyclamen, jasmine and water lily. Pungent and refreshing cedar mingles with musk and ambergris to produce an irresistible marine
accord finish that lingers all day.
In 1948 the father prior of St. Giacomo's Carthusian Monastery happed upon a collection of old perfume formulas which, with the permission of the Pope, were eventually given to a chemist from Turin. Setting up a tiny laboratory which he named "Carthusia," he worked to recreate these once-lost recipes. Today the tradition is continued with a full line of limited-production fragrances made using the same techniques as the original Carthusian monks. New signature scents are designed in collaboration with perfumers Laura Tonatto and Luca Maffei.
