Annick Goutal started her career as a pianist as well as a model. However, later on in her life, she realized she also had a true passion for perfumery.
Her first fragrance was launched in 1980. Upon Goutal’s death, her daughter assumed ownership of the company’s operations. Dozens of fragrances exist under the company’s name. This particular vetiver-based fragrance was created by Isabelle Doyen. Doyen’s childhood involved travelling with her father, who was a scientist, and being exposed to a rich array of scents from all over the world. She is a resident nose at Goutal’s brand where she is free to create delightful aromas like this one.
