Ambre Fetiche by Annick Goutal Cologne. Though it was released as recently as 2007, Ambre Fetiche, an Annick Goutal product, seeks to capture the
elegance and complexity of 19th century paintings using both a sleek, ornate bottle design and a unique mixture of scent notes. This product comes in a classic leather case that also contains the other two fragrances of the collection. The top notes wearers will notice include labdanum, incense, styrax, amber and vanilla. The middle notes consist of
sweet iris and benzoin, and the base notes include patchouli, geranium, vanilla and musty leather.
The designer, Annick Goutal, began her career as a professional pianist and model. She didn’t enter into the perfume creation world until 1980, after working with facial creams and other scent-oriented products during a modeling job. While the original founder passed away in 1999, her daughter continues to release fragrances to the public, and each one still embraces the original, elegant vision of Goutal herself. Currently, the brand has created around 60 unique fragrances for men and women.
