1001 Ouds by Annick Goutal Perfume. Launched in 2015, 1001 Ouds from Annick Goutal combines a rich, earthy unisex fragrance with a hint of spice. The top notes of papyrus and agarwood create a smoky blend. The heart offers bold notes of oud, pimento, rose, and pepper. Base notes of birch wood, gaiac wood, and myrrh finish this deep, woody fragrance.

Annick Goutal began making perfumes late in life after a long, successful career as a model and pianist. She got her start in the beauty cream ... Read More ... Read More industry and focused heavily on the packaging and fragrance of her products. She later worked with perfumer Henri Sorsana creating fragrances, which she compares to "precious bouquets." Some of them were inspired by her daughters. Though it is rare to find perfumers who are not tied to a large corporation, Annick Goutal is, in her own words, "making music on her own."
