First 30 minutes it is a great old citrus scent. But after the cutrus fades it smells kinda like an old kitchen pantry, or a bit like cooking pastry or something. I wanted to like it but I don't

I have been wearing this scent for over 30 years. I am constantly questioned about what it is and where can they purchase it. I tend to wear cologne with a citrus component and this is my absolute favorite. I buy several at a time because the price is right.

This scent is exactly as I remembered it to be. It is very lemony and herbicinal in the opening. The drydown is very true to it's heavy civet oil note component. If you do not like scents that include civet oil ( I believe that Koruos by YSL contains this ingredient too) you will not enjoy this scent. It smells a bit dirty and raw within the first 15 minutes of wearing. You can still smell some of the citrus throughout but the civet oil really steals the show. This scent is distinct from any other scent out there. It is not a "fresh" scent fragrance. Very manly in the European aesthetic. I love the scent but can not wear it every day. I wore it to work recently and people were actually looking at me like they were offended by the smell of it. But, the sillage and longevity for the scent is very nice. But again, this is not a commercial scent and it will not be enjoyed by all. You must try this before purchasing. Would I buy it again, yes. But, the bottle I have will be around for at least a year. Enjoy this one but sample it first. it is very different from any of his other scents. Actually, YSL Pour Homme Super Concentrate is different from any fragrance on the market now or then.

Review of Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme by Drew Hughes

My younger brother favors Yves Saint Laurent Por Homme, as it has a very woodsy and rather spicy aroma and is just the ticket for the young and healthy outdoor man. He's worn it for over a year now and finds it to be a "lady pleaser" as well, and not in the slightest a perfumey "feminine" scent nor an overwhelmingly loud fragrance. It's a very clean and subtle and the undertone of nutmeg gives it a uniqueness that's hard to find in the standard men's colognes. When someone gave him another very expensive and popular cologne for Christmas, he merely sniffed it, shrugged and then gave it away, as he insists this is the only one that's "perfect".
