As a little girl, the Venezuelan-born María Carolina Josefina Pacanins y Niño—one of four daughters whose roots date to the 1500s under Latin American aristocracy—played on her family hacienda among a colorful, scent-filled floral garden, inspiring her signature Carolina Herrera fragrance and, later, her creation of one of the most popular and recognized perfumes of our time: 212. Herrera’s daughter and namesake, Carolina Adriana Herrera, joined her mother in the fragrance world to work on 212. The elder and “Best-dressed in the US” Carolina Herrera began her ready-to-wear fashion line in the 1980s at the age of 41. Got the 100ml of CH Men about a month ago. I now consider this one of the best fragrances I've ever used (my other favs are Guerlain's L'Instant EDT, cK Be, Wings by GBH and Dunhill's Desire Blue). The initial citrus is overtaken by the more "gourmand" notes of saffron,nutmeg, vanilla and burnt sugar. Towards the end its almost a pipe tobacco note. Great projection and I get about 10hours on my skin. Sweet but masculine and refined fragrance. Get it guys!!

I used to hate wearing cologne back in high school, but my mom insisted I wear some. My mom literally had dozens of colognes for my dad and the first one she sprayed on me was Herrera. Needless to say I got so many compliments the very first time, I used it for the next few years until I could not find it anymore. The girls would flock to me and I met my first girlfriend wearing it, she said I smelled so good she just had to talk to me and we hit it off.
