It is extraordinary. I am a female and have been wearing it since I was quite young. I get asked by men and women at least 10 times a day what I am wearing and people ADORE it. No one ever questions or thinks that this is a male fragrance. They just think it is unusual and exotic. They LOVE it. This fragrance on a female is unique, dark, murky and entirely sensual.

I having been using Tsar since it made it's debut in 1989. Before that I really never used cologne. The sales lady explained it was a new cologne and I should try it! I did and that day I started experiencing more people asking me what fragrance I was wearing! Well it has been more than twenty years and it's all I ever put on. I get more compliments from people in my office, clients and perfect strangers. Women seem to love it and often ask for the name so they can buy it for their husband and or boyfriend. It is very different than any other fragrance I have tried and I always go back to Tsar. I can't remember the last time tried anything else. It is great.

I've used this gentleman's cologne since it first came out during my freshman year of college, and it continues to draw compliments EVERY TIME I wear it, wherever I travel around the world. The pleasing blend of aromatic woods, leather and juniper are more elegant than words can express! I recommend layering it with the matching skin lotion and deodorant for all-day wear.

TSAR is a fragrance that is sophisticated and unforgetalbe without being overwhelming. The after shave balm has a cooling effect while leaving a suble hint of the TSAR fragrance. (The Balm container design could use some improvement. Because the container is designed to stand on its cap, all the balm rushes out when the cap is opened. This usually causes more to escape from the bottle than one needs for a single use.)

VC&A's second fragrance for men, Tsar does not reach Pour Homme's grand level of sophistication, but is good in its own right. Fir resin and needles over woods and florals, fresh with lavender, it is similar to YSL's Jazz but more grown up. Would make a good signature scent for a mature gentleman.
