The French fashion designer Sonia Rykiel was born in 1930. She was first involved in fashion as a window dresser, and later began creating unique sweaters and knitwear that she sold in her husband's boutique shop. In 1968 she launched her own brand. Her modern fragrances are created in collaboration with talented perfumers such as Gerard Anthony, Anne Flipo and Jean-Marie Santantoni.
