Review of Charlie Red by Brenda Heywood

I have used this perfume for many, many years. And of all the perfumes i have ever worn.....Charlie Red has been the one perfume i have gotten the most flattering compliments about. By men and women. I won't wear any other perfume. Thanks Revlon!!!

This is a great scent for everyday~ And just a note this perfume was introduced in 1993 not the 70's lol

I remember this scent from my high school days! My father bought me the blue box; don't remember if I even liked it or not...Anyway, I had gotten a small bottle of the Red just for sh*ts and giggles, and I wanted to "test" my BF. He had suggested another very strong--and to me--outdated scent for me to try, so I wanted to see if he'd like this one, being as they smelled SO similar. Oddly, he did, but I still never wore it again. And oddly more, the other scent he suggested is getting "rave reviews" on this website...Yet on another perfume site, it's getting mixed 50/50 reviews of being skunky and too strong. I honestly feel Charlie reminds me of the other scent, so my hands are up in the air! lol

Review of Charlie Red by Sara Schmachtenberger

I remember this perfume from the 70's and 80's. Being a "Charlie Girl" was very hip and cool. Unfortunately this scent has not transended time and is very dated. It's notes are hard and strong. I don't recommend.

As the commercial said, 'When you want to get their attention, wear red.' This is a much different version of the Charlie perfume line. Unlike the original Charlie which was redolent of summer grass, this one is a warm fruity (apricot) scent blended with florals that has been around for over a decade. It is particularly fitting over the winter holidays.

Unfortunately, I have found all of the Charlie fragrances to be less than desirable. They do smell exactly like cheap discount drug store variety fragrances. Charlie Red is no exception. The scent is too strong for my taste and I have never come across anyone that wears it well. I envision this brand for the mature audience that is not too picky about their scent choice or expense.
