Chaps for Men was introduced by Ralph Lauren in 1978 as an extension of their clothing line “Chaps”, a line of "classic heritage and timeless aesthetic" sold at a moderate price-point, and was re-launched in 2007, following the success of the many Ralph Lauren fragrances for men. The original sartorial concept has well transitioned into the fragrance: A refined composition that is rugged, thanks to its leather accord inclusion alluding to equestrian attire, but not raw. Leather scents are individual, suiting people who can’t be pigeonholed and who prefer to set their own rules instead of following the rest. Chaps quietly compliments that frame of mind, perfectly fit for today’s heroes of the “wild wild west” and beyond.
