SWEET SUMMER COCKTAILS Finding The Right Spirit For Your Summer Scent!

A good summer scent is like a sweet summer cocktail and also like an enjoyable summer fling; it is fresh, flirty, fruity and refreshing.

I was lounging on the beach a few weeks ago when two of my girlfriends came to meet me, brandishing a bottle of chardonnay, one of rosée and a pint of fresh strawberries. As we bronzed skin while reddening cheeks, we marvelled over the sheer perfection in the combination of fruit, florals and sun (and booze).

By the time the buzz started to wear off and my head was nestled comfortably into the sand underneath a large straw hat, I was still enthralled by the connection, which, sobered by a cold shower and a coffee that evening, turned into a structured reflection on the perfect accessory to a sweet summer scent: a delicious cocktail.

I have assembled a small listing of some of my favourite drink recipes and matched them up with some of the hottest summer scents. Just like the right wine harmonizes with fresh salmon, the melanges of flavours and notes are designed to complement each other in a way that will create delight for both your nose and tongue.

DRINK: Frozen Bikini
