He was joking, I know- but regardless of whether the comment was fully, partially, or not at all intended as such, as a fragrance connoisseur being caught off guard not at my scented best mortified me. I felt like an adulteress caught with my pants down.

So now, just like I eagerly awaited the falls Charles Jourdain collection re-launch all summer, I am now impatiently anticipating the arrival of another realm of clothing altogether: scented fabrics.

Yes. Its recently come through the rumour mill that Italian sailing brand Slam is unveiling a Fruits Polo line, of which each item is made with sensitive euro-jersey, containing a microcapsule application that releases perfume oils. Slam has also apparently created a long-sleeved shirt of the same abilities for athletes training in hot climates- and this is the information I’ve clung to in my hopes that the invention will expand quickly into a women’s active wear line.

Come on Slam! For my trainers sake. (Plus, a little whiff of feminine oils instead of storage locker when I pass the blond hottie on the elliptical wouldn’t hurt any either). For now Ill use something light and discreet like Clean Shower Fresh to be at my best while breaking sweats!
