GAGA FOR GUCCI: FALL FRAGRANCES NO. 3-5

I couldn’t sleep all weekend. I kept tossing and turning about my boots dilemma from Friday, and finally rose from a restless sleep this morning at 5:29 am to sort my thoughts and un-sort my closet. And so for the next few hours, I tore through all of my freshly hung items trying to find justification for the €1000 Euros I’d just spent on a pair of purple knee-high boots (they are like the stuff dreams are made of, so I was surprised to not get shut-eye).

So I decided not to get the purple Le Silla boots after all and cancelled my order as the last of the sun rose. Because looking at all the heaps and mounds of outfit attempts on the floor, I realized that all I could find to go with them was one grey knit dress. (Note: this only un-justifies my buying them at full price. They are bookmarked so I can snag them when they go on sale. ;))

I AM going to get these black Gucci-inspired leather boots from Le Silla though. Their detail reminds me of a recent gift from the beau: a black sleeveless top with gold trimming, just like the ankle-wrapping chain detail on the boots. Besides this, I have a million other things I’m sure I can wear with them as well—- including three of my most favourite Gucci scents of all time:

Flora by Gucci
This is hands down my favourite new scent from Gucci—- day or night, I love it. It’s a floral, as the name suggests, and it is both powerful and sensual, and stomps just like the boots.

Gucci by Gucci
This signature scent is classy and refined but uber sexy thanks to its floral/chypre mix. This is my favourite dinner date scent; it’s intoxicating when combined with playful feet beneath the table.

Gucci Rush
This scent is soft but lively, and aptly named for busy days at the office, which is wear I rock this fragrance. It’s a gentle mix of vibrant florals and a warm, earthy base, but it’s all sophistication. Because even when you dress down great boots, there’s no reason to dress down your fragrance.
