AN OBSESSION NIGHT(MARE)? In Search Of Fashionable New Scent

I’m in the office today and two very big boxes have just been delivered to my desk. I can tell you with zeal that their arrival is, to me, better than Christmas! Inside them are all of my samplings for this season’s hunt for the perfect scent. (Oh how do I love thee, job!)

I’m so eager for fall to get into full swing. My boyfriend found me last Saturday morning plunked down in the middle of my closet, surrounded by all my new fall fashions, mimosa in one hand (yes, I do it up right!) and my iPhone in the other.

He paused and with that questioning look asked, “What are you doing?”

I respond nonchalantly, “Planning my future.”

“And with whom are you sharing your universe?” he retorted as he glanced down at my phone.

”KK”, I say. (Who is my dearest fellow fashionista and a woman who understands the importance of wardrobe fussings.)

He shakes his head in disbelief. “You are so weird.”

Yes, bizarre to the wonderland of the male mind, but of great natural importance for a girl like me. And to finish off my new, fabulous fashions with just the right accent, is my fall fragrance collection. Like my flavor for fashion, my scent tastes change from season to season and very rarely do I ever wear the same thing from one year to the next. Yes it may be a ritual that is out of the ordinary from most of my comrades’, but I love all things new, all the time.

The first perfume out of the box is Obsession Night by Calvin Klein. The fragrance was designed back in 2005 and true to its name, it smells like night: cool, dew-like. Instantly, I love it; it is mysterious and seductive.

What luck! The first one out of the box and it’s smelling promising. I sit, I wait for its heart notes to surface, and then —Shazam! I know this smell, or something just like it… and then I’m back in high school with that jackass boyfriend who made a “mistake” and found himself in bed with another girl.

But back to the non-personal fundamentals. Brilliant, truly brilliant. The Calvin Klein brand has masterfully succeeded in a conceptual collection of Obsessive scents.

…A fragrance from so long ago can trigger an instant moment in time. Do I need to relive those pubescent days? Sure. Why not? Not now, seriously never…

Obsession Night is back in the box and we are moving right along…But ladies, if you are a lover of Obsession, you should definitely try this perfume. It is sure to be a winner!
