Figue Amère means "bitter figs" and among fig fragrances this Miller Harris Nouvelle Edition creation possesses an individual streak, aimed at the woman (or man) who doesn't suffer fools gladly and is confident enough to pull something different. Focused on the contasting elements of the dusty trees and the ripe fruit with the salty air which blows from the Mediterranean basin where they're growing in the wild, the scent was inspired by a trip which the founder Lyn Harris took to the island of Ibiza. Figue Amère is perfectly unisex and delightful in the warmer weather; its welcome dryness, without the by now cliché note of coconut in so many summery fig fragrances, adds layers of appeal to its woody character.
