Just to put my views in context: I'm 18 and have been searching for a decent 'signature scent' for a couple years now. I've tried Burberry (too musky on the dry down but still light and fresh enough with excellent staying power), Gucci II (the best and most unique "fruity-floral" I've ever smelled with blackberry), cK Summer (a little too citrusy, but it is a unisex scent afterall), cK Eternity (a real down-to-earth floral that I find romantic but ordinary and slightly dry), Dior Dolce Vita (overly sweet and geared for an older demographic) and Ralph Lauren Cool (I don't like this, period). In comparison, Maria Sharapova's fragrance is feminine enough and certainly clean. It isn't powdery or overly musky which I like, and the citrus notes aren't dominant at all. I would say that it smells very different from a lot of things on the market, and that the best notes it contains are Jasmine and bergamot. I would describe it as a young scent that still is sophisticated when compared with overly-fruity and sweet fragrances that I consider to be the Escada ones and Ralph (Lauren) Rocks. It wears well in summer - on the beach, at school, in the sun - and during winter it wouldn't be considered out of season/place. The only complaint I have is the about its staying-power, as it lasts on my wrists for only a few hours. That being said, an extra spritz on my hair and clothes normally gets the job done!
