First of all I love the smell of gardenias in the air on a warm summer night. Second I hate most gardenia perfume. On me it smells way to sweet and cloying and synthetic. Marc Jacobs is the best gardenia fragrance I have tried, the flowers are light and fragrant, not too sweet. It really does smell like gardenias floating on water. I just ordered Marc Jacob Essence because I love the original and the great reviews. Perfume.com makes it easy to try new and wonderful scents.

If you are antisocial, Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs is not the perfume for you. When you wear this fragrance people will stop to inquire about it. This classy and feminine fragrance focuses on the gardenia scent but it does not go sickly sweet, it smells expensive. If you are like myself, a woman who shies away from candy sweet floral scents and who prefers deeper more spicy toned perfumes, you will be pleasantly surprised at how appealing this scent is on your skin. Though it is recommended for evening wear, I find it is also great for daytime and it's ideal for work. Coworkers and clients alike are constantly asking me what I wear. Also it makes a perfect gift for a teenage girls since the fragrance is neutral enough to appeal to women of all ages. It's sexy, classy, and youthful and it lasts all day long. A beautiful fragrance that is not overly worn by the masses so you will always hold an air of mystery when you wear it.

An everyday floral fragrance that lasts up to 6 hours. It is never overpowering even when applied liberally and it leaves a subtle, yet noticeable lingering scent behind even after you've gone. While, more preferrably a fall/winter scent, (I uisually opt for the Blush or Essence scents from the Marc Jacobs house in spring/summer) this spray will still last about 3 or 4 hours in warmer weather. I wear it in the EDP form almost everyday, and I find that the perfume solid and the perfume oil versions of Marc Jacobs give off a deeper floral scent for evenings out.

I love this scent! I was first exposed by a perfume sniper in Harrod's/London on a trip a few years ago. Usually the snipers make me sick b/c I am easily allergic, but I liked the scent and ended up buying some online. I think Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs has a gentile, honeysuckle scent and unlike another review, think it is a summer scent! It does not bother my allergies and I am constantly complimented on it. Worth the price, but I use my bottle up every season!

I have the Marc Jacobs lotion. I received it as a birthday gift last December and it smelled so good, I mean so good I got compliment after compliment and all I had on was the lotion. It has a hint of sparkle in it as well. I loved it so much I went to perfume.com and ordered the Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs perfume in the 1 oz. size. When I received the bottle in the mail they upgraded it for mt to a bigger bottle for being a great customer! That made my day! So now before I go on stage, I go on with the lotion sparking on my body and a hint of the perfume on my neck, wrists and chest. I love Marc by Marc Jacobs. It's timeless!

I like gardenia and Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs one is a modern version. It's fresh and floral, very feminine, not over-sweet. Its lasting power is very good. However, it's a little expensive and I don't like the packaging. It's a refreshing blend, unlike older Gardenia based fragrances that will make you sick. This is by far the most beautiful Gardenia fragrance due to the aquatic notes added to take away that heavy, sickeningly sweet smell that others have.

Mmm! This perfume is delicious! Whenever I am wearing Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs, I love how when the wind passes I can still smell it. It has a very delightful gardenia smell. It's great for all ages of women. I started wearing it after I received a tester, and I have not been able to stop wearing it. I love it! Most of the MARC JACOBS perfumes smell simliar, but this one is by far the best. The price on this website is also the cheapest I've seen in a long while! Try it!!

I found this fragrance, Marc Jacobs, by Marc Jacobs to be excitingly new and refreshing. I spritzed it all over myself on a whim in the fragrance area of the department store and found that everywhere I shopped that afternoon clerks and custormers both commented on the wonderful fragrance I was wearing and everyone asked me what it was that I was wearing. I found that both men and women like the fragrance. I also found that the scent doesn't change much from the time you immediately put it on to when you have the fragrance on for a few hours as some colognes do. I gave Marc Jacobs as a birthday gift this last month and everyone at the birthday party wanted to purchase this when they tried it on! I haven't found the fragrance everywhere but did locate it in several stores in Chicago. I am sure it will be everywhere soon. I would like to try some of the lotions and bath products that are part of this line. I am sure they are just as terrific as the cologne. My sister is normally allergic to fragrances and this is only one of two scents that she is able to wear comfortably without allergic problems. I have found that I can reapply this fragrance during the day when I need a pick me up and not feel over perfumed.

Yes, I agree w/Reese, the Michael Kor and Marc Jacobs has been compared, but I feel Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs is still sexy and beautiful, as Michael Kors is more heavier for fall/winter does linger longer the Marc Jacobs, also love this that we can compare scents. They both have their own positive images, although w/Marc Jacobs you must layer. Try body products and EDP if you can't afford the real Perfume. I give them both 2 heads up> I have both in my wardrobe.

I love Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs, I wear it absolutely everywhere, anytime, all the time, cant get enough of it. its pricey, but its lasts forever and smells great the whole time. My best friend is loving it too, so I have to hide mine from her when she comes over. Im not too familiar with Marc Jacobs other scents, but I think after trying this one, I will smell the others too.

Although I don’t frequently wear florals, I decided to try Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs after reading many positive comments about it. Although it wasn’t an offensive scent, it smelled just like Coty’s “Sand and Sable” to me; the gardenia and honeysuckle were the only notes I could detect. If you like simple floral scents, you may enjoy this. I’ll bet it would be great everyday summer scent!

Being a big fan of gardenia, I couldn't wait to try this out. It reminds me of the gardenias my dad used to plant in our garden, and the sweet, clean scent would waft by whenever there was a breeze. While this is an ultra-feminine fragrance great for a sexy night out, it is just as appropriate in a white power suit for the modern career woman. Very versatile!

I'm not a big fan of Gardenia, however this IS Gardenia perfection. It's gardenias floating in water at the end of a hot summer day. It's so fresh that you'd almost swear someone had a bouquet of lush creamy white gardenias located nearby. This would be an ideal wedding scent. I dabbed my sample on my sisters wrist and everywhere she went she had people commented on the beautiful scent. If you love fresh florals and adore gardenias you'll love this scent. Be warned, a little bit goes a long way.
