First of all I love the smell of gardenias in the air on a warm summer night. Second I hate most gardenia perfume. On me it smells way to sweet and cloying and synthetic. Marc Jacobs is the best gardenia fragrance I have tried, the flowers are light and fragrant, not too sweet. It really does smell like gardenias floating on water. I just ordered Marc Jacob Essence because I love the original and the great reviews. Perfume.com makes it easy to try new and wonderful scents.
