Fashion designer Marc Jacobs, an early award-winner at the Parsons School of Design, is the youngest designer to earn the fashion industry's highest tribute: The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent in 1987. CFDA again honored Jacobs with the Women's Designer of the Year Award in 1992. Jacobs’ famed Perry Ellis "grunge" collection led to his immediate exit from the company in 1993. He is currently the creative director for Louis Vuitton. Jacob’s fragrance brands include Blush, Daisy, Essence, Grass, Amber, Orange, Rain and more. Like his philosophy, his fragrances challenge response. "I love that reaction of love or hate. It's indifference that bores me to death," notes Jacobs.

  "Mmmm...this scent is just plain appetizing, ranking up there with Thierry Mugler's Angel Men on the yum-o-meter, even though this scent isn't as sweet (which can be good or bad given your personal tastes in colognes). The fig note in this scent just stands out...reminding you of a tropical paradise, even though that's probably not what Marc Jacobs had in mind when creating it. I feel like I'll have to get a bottle of this soon..."

  "This is "swoon worthy" on a male. In fact, it smells so great a female could absolutely carry this off. However, I find it mixes with the male chemistry so perfect that you just want to snuggle in their shirt. My husband wanted something that smelled a little like wood. I had him try this with notes of cedar and fig. He loved it(I loved it even more). It's very long lasting and is my absolute favorite male fragrance. The bottle is also sleek and classic. When my husband was on a trip I spritzed some on me and my sister had commented how nice I smelled. So, give it a try, I think it's a winner for whoever wears it."

  "Marc Jacobs (for men) I found to be a fantastic and original scent. It's fresh, woodsy, green, with subtle fruity, sweet and spicy hints. I find it difficult to explain since it has lots of varied fragrance notes combined in it. It is not overpowering and may be slightly weak to some people, which I actually like about it. It's relaxing yet elegant and modern. It maintains its scent fairly long, yet close to the skin once dry. A unique fragrance that I would recommend trying out."

  "I think this is one of the few fragrances I have continued to wear longer than just a few months. While typically fickle, I find myself strangely obsessed with this fragrance. It is considered a mossy woods type of scent, but I also find that it conjures a somewhat tropical image (perhaps from the figgy notes). It's a lovely scent that is sure to win many compliments."
