Lanvin prided of a perfume named Rumeur included in their portfolio long ago, composed by legendary perfumer André Fraysse in 1943: These were times when women went for the succulence and decadence of juicy, fruity "chypres" to relay their mind from the tough context of the war and its ravages.
For today's audience, Lanvin revamped the idea with a woody musky composition that borrows the old name but projects an utterly moden vibe of elegance: The floral notes of magnolia and rose (with their crystalline slightly lemony overtones) marry to classics like jasmine and orange blossom and segue into an abstract base composed of patchouli and musk.
If you like Narciso for Her, Lanvin's Rumeur is another take sure to please that can be worn all day long and into the evening!
Notes Top Note: Magnolia, Aldehydes, Fruity Note Middle Note: White Rose, Jasmine, Mock Orange Base Note: Patchouli, Musk, Ambrox

I love the perfume and Saks Fifth Ave didn't sell it any more and I glad the price is right. Looking forward to buy more at this price.

Review of Rumeur by Kittycat
I made the mistake of ordering this perfume over the internet without having smelled it first in the hopes that I would like it as much as two of my other favourite perfumes, Lanvin's Oxygene and D'eclat Arpege., which are both lovely. Sadly, I was wrong. When I tried it I was overcome by how strong it is, and I was expecting it to be much lighter and fresher smelling. I found it very overpowering and although I gave it time to mellow on my skin it didn't and stayed smelling exactly the same as when I first sprayed it on. I couldn't wait to wash it off and even when I did I couldn't get rid of the smell entirely! It's not a horrible perfume, just a very pungent, strong one which isn't to my taste. I'd say it's more suitable for a more mature woman, probably over the age of 50. In its favour it is definitely incredibly long lasting and it does smell quite expensive. However, it's just not the kind of perfume that appeals to me at all. I'm going to return it and buy something I do like instead!!

If you're looking for something light and fresh, try Rumeur. I found this scent by accident but it has become one of my favorites. I always get asked what I'm wearing and I find people tend to lean into me when I'm wearing Rumeur.

This fragrance is very chic. The elegance of it is overwhelming. If you are looking for a new fragrance, try Rumeur. You will be glad that you did. Go to Perfume.com to order,if you find it in a department store ,you will pay considerably more.

Review of Rumeur by Julie Spitler
This is my new signature scent! This scent is great for women who love sensual "white" flower type scents. It is pure and feminine and exotic. My boyfriend goes crazy when I wear it. I used to wear the outrageously expensive "Fantasia de Fleurs" by Creed and he says "Rumeur" is way sexier!!
