Is this scent for real?
This is my mom's favorite perfume. She talked about it throughout the years but it was always so expensive. So excited to find it here! OMG It smells so bad, it's hard to explain but think of a real old home with old pipes and the water smells metallic…that how it smells. My mother said it's not what she used in the 50's and 60's.

Classic and beautiful
I feel in love with Arpege in 1965, it's a classic that is sophisticated, sensual and flirty. I wear the EDP as it smells more like the original as I know it. The EDP is powerful and should be used with care. It is strong at first but dries down to a beautiful feminine scent. My husband says it's a total turn on!

The fragrance men love
My mother used this fragrance and I naturally started using it when I was old enough. Men in elevators used to comment on how good it smelled. I have old boyfriends who remember it fondly. I am elderly now but I still put it on from time to time when I am going out and it reminds me of when I was young and men enjoyed being near me because of my perfume.

I have worn this perfume for over 50 years, my husband bought it for me the first year we were married. When I spray it on, all of the wonderful memories of our years together come back to me. One of my daughters was asked recently what is her favorite smell, she said mom's perfume.

Has anybody else found that the atomiser on Arpege is faulty
The atomisers on 2 bottles of Arpege I bought are faulty and prevent access to the perfume! So far Lanvin UK does not respond to my requests for help although the French office is helpful. What a waste of good scent to package it with a cheap atomiser ! Any ideas as to how to open the bottle? London Sarah

Another bottle of an "Old Friend"
I have used Arpege since I was first introduced to it in the 70s. I love perfumes and have many favourites. I use it mostly in the daytime - just a spritz as I finish my makeup. Love it and buying from you it is affordable.

I loved this perfume.
I got this perfume because it was my mom's favorite. She would get it from my dad at Christmas time. Actually we would get it for him to give to her and I always remember going into the store and asking Arpege by Lanvin. It brings back great memories of those times.

This is a classic scent that has been a favorite by Lanvin for many years. Glad that it is still available on the internet because it is not sold by department stores as it was years ago. This does not smell similar to other newly created perfumes. So many perfumes today smell similar.

Smelled sour. The scent was not like it was in the 70s.
I loved wearing this scent when I was young. I used the perfume that came in small square bottles that were sold in a black box. Those were sold as all perfume. I don't know if there was an eau spray sold then.

The Fragrance Brings Back Sweet Memories

Bought as a Mother's Day Gift for my Very Elderly Mom.
Bought the Arpege for my 84 year old Mom. It was one of her 2 favorites I remembered her wearing from my own youth. At her age, it'll mostly likely be the last bottle she ever will own. It's one of those that people just don't ever forget. I wanted my Mom to be able to have her Arpege at least once more.

It starts how I remembered my mom wearing it, but changes to a hard "hairspray" like smell later in the day. I later realized after I bought it, when I researched up the history that the formula was changed in the early 90's. Now I know why. I'll use it as an air freshener for my bathroom at least.
