I can honestly say that I have never bought cologne before I bought Lacotse Essential Sport. So I can say in 100% truthfulness that I had no clue about how to buy cologne. Luckily for me, I had my 2 roommates go with me, one guy and one girl, to get a good feeling about which scent was best for me. I honestly have to say that Lacoste Essential Sport was hands down the best decision. It has a great smell without being overpowering and has a crispness to it. Honestly, the first night I wore it, I was getting compliments from every girl I met and its worked the same ever since. If you want to smell great without being overpowering to you or anyone else, definitely by this cologne.

Very nice light, fresh smell. Not overpowering at all. If you like to have a nice inviting scent on for yourself and those close to you but not offend anyone I would suggest you give it a try!
