When I smelled both the regular John Varvatos and the Vintage. the first thing that came to mind what that when I turned 40 I would switch form the regular to Vintage. Its very distict for a man with wisdom and knowledge. Very good, not the best, but still has its place in my memory.

pretty good, albeit synthetic fragrance, clear notes are the rhubarb , some leather , and tobaccoo, there are better scents out there in this same ballpark, michael for men for instance by michael kors, if you really like rhubarb though you might enjoy this

Vintage has a very clean wooded smell to it… not for wimps. The best way to describe this fragrance is masculine. When my husband wears this I feel drawn to him. I have noticed he chooses to wear this over his five other fragrances when he feels like pulling me in sensually but still wants to remain in control. I believe he feels desirable and masculine in this fragrance.

This is by far the best smelling men's cologne I have ever smelled. When my boyfriend and I are out, people are constantly asking him what fragrance he is wearing. It's a great way to make sure a first date leads to a second. The John Varvatos original scent is also phenomenal. We can't decide which we like best.
