"I bought John Varvatos because I smelled the bottle at a friends house and thought it smelled very nice, however when my bottle arrived and I tried it for the first time I was disappointed with the fragrance. It seemed to have more of a musk scent and less of a spicy scent than I had remebered. Let that be a lesson to me, I will have to actually test apply a fragrance before selecting it again. I did try it again to see if applying it to my clothing would be any different because I understand that some fragrances can have a significant reaction with your body chemistry, but still not a favorite for me and I won't be using it anymore."

"This scent is masculine, powerful and sexy. It has a strong tobacco note, but not the resulting smoke, that is accentuated by woods and spices. Medjul date in the top notes and vanilla in the base notes provide a balance to the tobacco and entire structure. Clary Sage, Corriander and Tamarind Leaves add spice while Eaglewood and Amber round out the base. Whomever wears this will smell like they have been sitting in the club of a prestigious men's society next to a humidor as they drink martinis."
