An elegant classic seemingly from another era, Coriandre was once described by a perfume writer as "the scent for a red-headed Raymond Chandler heroine. Or an anchorite". We couldn't have put it better ourselves! This cool and ferny feminine chypre, sophisticated beyond any doubt and laced with the allure of obscurity harkens from 1973 and was composed by the Grasse-trained perfumer wife of the designer, Jacqueline Couturier. The opening, rich in angelica and aldehydes is cutting cheekbones, all aloof, while the essences of rose, powdery orris, and coriander marry with the mossy base of patchouli, oakmoss and vetiver to produce an emerald jewel that shines from every angle most preciously. This is one perfume which demands it's worth you, instead of the other way around..

I found this perfume about 17 years ago and started wearing it. I was in my mid teens and I remember feeling great when I wore it. I had a few other scents that I wore , but this one was special and I had to replace it a lot more often. When the department store I bought it from no longer carried it , I was disappointed. I'm thrilled to have found it again. It smells exactly as it did all those years ago. The fragrance is so warm , clean , sexy and inviting - not at all over powering or sickly sweet. I LOVE it !

It was love at first sniff. I remember spraying a sample on at a Neiman Marcus perfume counter some 30 years ago then being amazed at how it continued its light delicious scent hour after hour. My favorite compliment came from my new husband: "That's cologne? I thought you just smelled like that!" He bought me a HUGE bottle on our honeymoon when I found a place in Baltimore that stocked every imaginable Coriandre product. You can find the small spray bottles for less at some discount stores but they don't seem to have the umphh of the 3.3 oz. bottles. It's sweet without being cloying, floral without being a specific flower, suitable for office, evening or a quick pick-me-up spritz. What can I say? Coriandre makes me happy---and I suspect it will you, too.

MY MOM INTRODUCED ME TO THIS PERFUME AND I DID NOT THINK I WOULD LIKE IT ON ME,, IT SMELLED SO GOOD ON HER BUT WAS NOT SURE IT WOULD SMELL THAT GOOD ON ME. But I tried it and I tell you its such a nice scent,,,and its one of my favorites now and the Price at Perfume.com is the best,,you will not find it cheaper,, any perfume you want,,get it through them if you want the best price.

Coriandre smells smooth, clean and green. It's wonderful for the hot humid summers here in the Houston, TX area. I wear it to work and shopping. It doesn't smell harsh like some fragrances. It's a very nice clean scent.

I have used this product for more than 17 years and even though I have tried other perfumes, I have ALWAYS come back to this one. On almost every occasion I have used it people have asked me for the name and told me how good it smelled. It's not a heavy over-powering smell, but has a light woodsy/lemon type smell. I love all the Coriandre products and doubt I will ever stop using them. Unfortunately I can't always find them locally so I'm glad to see that they are carried through the Internet. It's not the cheapest product, but not overly expensive either and I just LOVE it!
