I decided to try "Lutece" after wafing in the scent as a woman at the airport passed by me. I approached her and asked what the "heavenly" fragrance she was wearing and she told me "Lutece". I had purchased perfumes before, but HAD to have this one. I wear it for all my special occasions and sometimes to work. It is one fragrance I cannot live without.

One of the best perfumes on the market . If you enjoy classic scents then you must try ! What I enjoy about Lutece is that it smells clean but is still sexy. I can remember when this was launched in the 1980s and it was everywhere. Now its difficult to find but when you do it is priced well. There is no fruit or vanilla in this. It is a floral , oriental style. Not very musky. At first the spray is almost harsh but the drydown is almost magical . The EDT lasts throughout the day and does not leave a rank scent on fabrics. The version I am using is made by Aladdin Fragrances and it is just lovely.

When I first smelled Lutece, I was not impressed. I thought it smelled strong and old-fashioned. But I was given some as a gift and wore it anyway. I couldn't believe the reactions that I received from others, especially men. Over the years, I have had many very respectable men comment on the scent - men you would not expect to comment at all. I've actually had men at work tell me that they enjoyed the scent of the perfume that I left behind in the room!! When women compliment me on the scent, it's funny to see how puzzled they are when they hear the name because it's not a name they recognize. Interestingly, I do not smell the perfume after I've put it on. It doesn't do anything for me, personally. But since everyone else enjoys it, I make it my signature scent. I don't need to smell new and trendy, just nice.
