Graceful, serene and unlike anything else on the market, Un Jardin sur le Nil is part of the Jardin series of fragrances the French luxury house of Hermès created as season-inspired novelties meant to stay the course.
Un Jardin sur le Nil is echoing both a previous china pattern of lotus flowers and an exotic trip along the Egyptian river, all the way up to Aswan where the arresting smell of green mango (a dead-ringer for grapefruit) took the perfumer by surprise and inspired him to put it into an aquarelle of a scent such as this one. The tartness and freshness of the top is deepened by cedar wood and in turn softened and warmed by sycamore and a hint of incense. Unisex by definition, Un Jardin sur le Nil is the embodiment of elegance in that it never tries too hard.

Years ago I sampled this scent and couldn't quit smelling my wrist the rest of the day. Unfortunately I didn't buy it at the time, and am happy to have "found" it again! This perfume is so clean and fresh. It reminds me of a cool spring day with a breeze in the air. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear this perfume. I wear it all the time, because it makes me feel special and makes the day seem bright and sunny. I like almost all the fragrance from Hermes. You won't go wrong with it. The other one I have first is "Eau Des Merveilles", people say it smells "expensive" when I use it. That is warm and special that you don't smell everywhere. This one Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, I've been trying the small "sample" and loving it! so I decided to get the "big" bottle! It's totally different with Merveilles, same wonderful, but full of fresh Mediterranean flowers, a very clean and elegant flowery fragrance.
