Review of Eau des Merveilles by Barbara Griffin

The perfume smelled old!! Nothing like the way my friend smells. I have the lotion and it smells wonderful, but this perfume was awful. I am waiting for a return label at this time. I was not pleased.

I bought this perfume for my mother and she absolutely loves it! She cannot stop thanking me about it, wherever she goes people come closer to her just to "get a closer smell" to this enchanting perfume. They gather around her like bees on honey (though it doesn't smell sweet). This perfume stays for hours, it doesn't wear out and is very exclusive, it smells delicious.

WOW this shipped so fast I cannot believe it! This came beautifully packaged and was exactly what I wanted. The price was excellent and unbeatable (trust me I looked). Now on to the fragrance...This is exactly what I was looking for it starts out strong but mellows quickly to a rich, sophisticated fragrance that no one you know will have. I love it! It has a unique fragrance that is not sweet, floral or musky but is clean and warm. It is had to describe but very beautiful and very attractive.

Today marks the first day of my long term love affair with perfume.com. I received my Hermes Eau des Marveilles along with my other purchase exactly one week after I filled my order out online. Not only is the perfume exactly what I expected, it was perfectly packaged and the turn-around time was incredibly fast. I am so SUPER HAPPY with perfume.com and I am looking forward to many more purchases!! This fragrance smells perfect.

Thank you for my order I appreciated your promptness. I did order, for the first time, Eau des Merveilles, Calèche and Un jardin en Méditerranée and I am telling you frankly I did not like the scent of them at all, they did not suit me. As for the rest of the order everything was perfect and I am very satisfied. I will order from your company again and again especially Jean Naté that I adore and Thierry Mugler. Thanking you.

I first became aware of this fragrance when I smelled it on a passing stranger. What an incredible smell! I just about chased her around a store and got the name. I have found my signature fragrance for life. I love that few people wear it too!

oh, where do I begin? Eau Des Merveilles by Hermes is exactly what I have been looking for - it is warm, alluring and very sophisticated. Although I own many fragrances and enjoy wearing them, Eau Des Merveilles is number one for me right now. I have enjoyed Calche by Hermes for over 20 years and am happy to have fallen in love with yet another one of their scents. If you are looking for something different, something that you will not smell on every woman you meet, then this is the scent for you. You will not be disappointed.

My hairdresser asked me to try to find this perfume for her-she had had trouble locating it-I looked-I found it and after smelling hers-I have tried it and really am quite pleased with it-have given shower gel to various people and all seems to like it-

After searching a lifetime for a signature scent, my mother and I have both found it in Hermes Eau des Merveilles. The scent is elegant and rich, yet not heavy. I've particularly had men comment on how good it smells. My mother and I will be buying this scent until the end of our days. Hope you will enjoy and love it as much as we have.

It has a fresh, citrusy smell to it. I find this perfume to be perfect for day time and casual use.

Last Christmas I treated myself to many bottles of perfume from this website. I was very happy in the selection I chose & have received many compliments on my favorite which is Eau Des Merveilles by Hermes. I will treat myself once again by ordering a few bottles this holiday season.

Love, love, love! This is my favorite fragrance. My husband cannot stop telling me how great I smell, and I wear it absolutely everywhere. I disagree with the reviewers who said this was too sweet smelling, it is not sweet smelling at all on me. It is peppery and maybe a teensy bit citrusy, but then the amber and woody notes come through, and of course the salty undertones. I do agree that this is a powerful scent and a little goes along way. 2 spritz is all you need, and it lasts all day.

Smells as delicious as most of my husbands scents, slightly musky. I always get compliments when I wear it. I found a fragrance card in a catalog and couldn't stop smelling it!! My favorite fragrance!!

One definitely needs a "COOL" weathered day for this, well ventilated & NO heater! A little goes a LONG way. If your body chemistry works best w/musk undertones this is NOT for you. Frankly, I love it off more than on. Too fruity/floral for me. I suggest you spritz it on your wrist from the dept. store & then place your order accordingly.

I appreciate the artistry in Eau de Merveilles, including (as another reviewer accurately noted), its upside-downess, as well as its quality and it is clearly unisex. It is fresh and easy to wear, and has good longevity, but on my skin, it just doesn't DO anything. I kept expecting more, but no go. Might be your thing if you are looking for a different kind of oceanic scent.

Review of Eau des Merveilles by Mimi Kl

It is a warm, creamy, orange scent with a touch of spice. It's a bit too woodsy for me. Although I understand how this could be thought of as unisex, I think it is on the feminine side. I can't imagine this working well on a man. The bottle is absolutely stunning, but I will pass this.

This is a very fun & young scent for spring and summer. Not a sophisticated or evening choice, but the one you reach for when you're wanting something peppy and sweet. You can definitely smell the apple, but I wouldn't describe it as a strictly fruity fragrance. Even though some people find this as a very young scent, I think it's perfectly wearable for all ages.

my wife loves this fragrance! she came across it from smelling a magazine insert of the new perfume and loved it even from that tiny sample. When she tried it at the department store she immediately fell in love with it for its light, fresh and floral scent. The lightness of it does not distract others but its strong enough for others to notice the amazing fragrance. she wear this one all the time

Don¡¯t be turned off by the spoke-person for this perfume. I have had several opportunities to try this at the mall but for some reasons, I never really care for it until I received this as a gift. You will enjoy the soft and sensual magnolia in this. I love the scent especially when sprayed onto your clothing and letting it sit for awhile

Review of Eau des Merveilles by Shana Reiley

Eau des Merveilles on me is faint peppery orange and an overload on the veviter! To me I think veviter and citrus mixes to become a bit sour and very manly. In my opinion this would smell much better as a man's cologne. VERY MASCULINE is how I'd describe Eau des Merveilles. I gave it an extra lippie for unbelieveable lasting power and the beautiful unique bottle it comes in. Sadly this is the first Hermes' scent that I've disliked and won't be purchasing!

Review of Eau des Merveilles by Pam Ecker

I love this stuff. I admitt, at first it was just a lemur thing for me. Most people liked it so I tried it. It has now become my default fragrance, slightly sexy, fresh, reasuring, and warm. It starts out as a citrus sparkle and then begins to dry down to a woody, spicey, sandalwood accord. It is not a sweet fragrance on me at all. The balance and dimension of this creation is wonderful though, and even for a person who dislikes a full woody accord this would be a fine perfume. Surprisingly, for such a light fragrance, it is long lasting, and even more so if you use the wash or lotion to give it a platform.

Eau des Merveilles is an upside-down fragrance, with the basenotes of wood and vetiver on top and the citrus on the base. In the middle, the ocean is represented by the smell of salt. Not saltwater, but salt. The salty note is really unique and wonderful, like the air off the cool ocean. The scent is calm, not too complex in the best way. Eau des Merveilles may be the first ocean-inspired scent that actually recreates a fragrance one can experience by the sea. This is neither masculine nor feminine but rather appropriate for both genders, and it would make an excellent summertime fragrance. It's a clever little laid-back, barefoot vacation scent.
