I first bought Caleche from a Hermes shop on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida over 30 years ago and I am still wearing it. I would not wear anything else as it has an elegant soft fragrance that I love.

I was first introduced to Caleche when I was single and 22 years old. I wore it on my wedding day at the age of 24. I have only been able to wear it for a further 1 or 2 years when I couldn't find it again in the Fiji market until today. I am now 56 years old and I would like to have another chance of wearing it again once more. We will be celebrating our 32 years wedding anniversary on 23/ october and that memory of Caleche still lingers in my mind. It is a superb fragrance for all occasion especially for evening wear. Caleche is elegant and charming - second to none! All the other frangrances I have used so far, cannot be compared to Caleche. I would like to have one more chance of wearing it. To me, it has sentimental values.

I was drawn to Caleche's scent a while ago and can't begin to tell you the responses, comments and compliments I've received (smile!). I was compelled to go directly to the store on Madison Ave., in N.Y. where I treated myself to the shower gel, powder, soap and lotion. How glorious it was to use!

Caleche smells the way expensive French perfume is supposed to smell - expensive and French! It is very feminine but not fluffy - better suited to a woman of the world than an ingenue.

Me thinks this is Hermes classiest and most versatile fragrance for women. It is mossy with some bite from vetiver, floral with lilly of the valley and rose and, yes, woody with cedar and sandalwood undertones. Works well in all types of weather, more serious than playful, but isn't that what you would expect from Hermes?

This fragrance always remind me of my mother. This was her signiture scent when I was growing up. It's green with some woody undertone (ceder?) and just a hint of floral. It is a very grown-up scent. My mother is a very classy, strong woman, and I think this scent really fits her personality. However, it really does not work with my chemistry. It just becomes like I am wearing a men's cologne. It's too green and dry for me. Maybe because I am not 'grown-up' enough to pull it off. Either way, it's classy but not for everybody for sure.
