I LOVE this perfume!!! My husband got Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori for me for Christmas, and I keep stealing sprays here and there (his fault for not hiding it?)It is a comfort scent to me, and I can't stop smelling my wrists. It is the first scent that has made me feel warm and cozy. I can't say enough good things. I smell quite a bit of vanilla on me, but it is more complex and warm. Great scent, highly recommended!

Natural, sweet, and effortless- Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori for women is great for those in their 20's and beyond. May seem too much like body-spray for younger wearers, but perfect for those who look for a perfume that's unique and not overpowering. It's the type of perfume that make both women and men feel cozy when they smell it on you. It doesn't have the strong "perfumey" hit, just gently enhancing your presence with the aroma of lychee, strawberries and almonds.

I was given Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori for a Christmas gift and have been wearing it ever since. I have received so many compliments from co-workers that are just so wonderful. Women and men at work will come up to me and just smell me. I will look at them in a funny look, as we are all just like family practically and they tell me they just want to inhale me, that I smell so good that it is a scent that they want to take with them and keep. So I think it is a scent that not only is pleasant to the nose, it is a scent that touches the soul as well and finds a pleasant peaceful place.

I have worn Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori since it's inception. It has such a lovely scent and lasts for several hours. The compliments received have been phenomenal. People (even men) would ask me what I was wearing. I would gracioulsy tell them and where they could purchase the product. I also advised them they could save money by ordering from Perfume.com. I used to purchase Hanae Mori at a major dept store, but once I discovered Perfume.com, it has now become my personal on-line store for fragrances. I have had many co-workers, family and friends who now use Hanae Mori. I love it when I hear someone say, "It smells good in here". Ladies you cannot go wrong with Hanae Mori.

I first got Hanae Mori when shopping at the Bal Harbour Shops in 2002, and when I returned to the Hoosier State, I felt like I was the only woman in town with this delightful secret mixture of berries, ylang-ylang, vanilla, and woodsy goodness. You will not be disappointed with this modern day classic.

Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori is my most favorite perfume of all time. It has the most delicious vanilla smell and it doesn't have a drop of vanilla in it. I'm not sure how that works, but it works for me. I've received more compliments while wearing this perfume than any other. I am not one that likes really floral scented perfumes, but this his such a delicate floral scent to it, it just adds that extra bit of femininity to it. Highly recommended, but not everyone should buy it, because then I'll no longer be unique!!

I have been wearing Hanae Mori by Hanae Mori since it came out in the mid 90's. I have never in my life received so many compliments than I have when wearing Hanae Mori. I write down the name of it for men who want it for their girlfriends or wives all the time. It has no vanilla in it , but it does give the essence of vanilla. The notes are strawberries, bilberries, black currant, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, sandalwood, almond, and praline. Sandalwood is in the dry down, and that is what I ultimately love about it. If you have dry skin like me, buy the cream and layer it with the eau du toilette. It doesn't smell at all like Aquolina Pink Sugar, nor could it be considered in the same league. Hanae Mori is a high end fragrance with quality ingredients. If you don't like fragrances that smell like "vanilla", then you probably won't like it. For everyone else, trust me, this is a great fragrance.

Best worn when getting out of the shower for a romantic evening. All ages should love this product!!! So make sure you purchase this!! You will not be disappointed. hanae mori is nothing like knowing aliage,or Paloma those are distinct chypre fragrances. Coco is in the Opium and Youth Dew family. And I don't know Burberry, but I have tried burberry Touch, and the butterfly approaches burberry Touch. they are both sweet and soft. Touch may be a little more floral and not as fruity as the butterfly. Hanae mori butterfly has some similarity to chopard's casmir. but of course the butterfly is richer and more subtle. Actually, casmir is a bit loud and flat next to the butterfly. Good luck!

like Hanae Mori Butterfly but to me this also smells a lot like Pink Sugar by Aquolina. No sense in owning both at the same time they really are very similar. The thing however where they differ is that this one is a lot warmer and yummier if you can believe it, as Pink Sugar is all sugar! Pink Sugar however is a little green so that is the reason why I love Butterfly better!

This is wonderful and comforting. After discussing with a saleswoman she said it isn't vanilla base.. it is almond. The almond mingles with the berries and gives warmth to the scent. Also.. I was told it has some patchoulli.. which I cannot detect. Anyone know for sure??

I couldn't really smell fruit in this perfume, maybe just a little in the beginning. It mellows out in a sweet and musky scent which I really liked. I was surprised how long it lasted because perfume tends to wear off on my skin really fast. This one however lasted for hours and i couldn't stop smelling my wrist. I'm definately getting myself a bottle. I tried it at Nordstroms and their prices are outrageous. $80 for 3.4 oz eau de toilette! Thank god for perfume websites

i'm confused about those who say that it is overpowering and lasts a long time...i personally ADORE this fragrance, and it isn't strong enough...at least, not on me. i just bought the blue butterfly...the strongest eau de parfum...and it faded away. i was chasing after the air with my nose. it smells SCRUMPTIOUS and is so fleeting.

Hanae Mori Blue Butterfly is an absolutely gorgeous scent with notes comprised of vanilla and flowers. It is a very young scent that can smell quite sweet, which might seem overwhelming to some, but it is very well blended. The bottle is perfectly beautiful, with a sculptured butterfly resting on top. The staying power is better than any other perfume I have ever used. All around a gorgeous perfume!

This is one of my all time favorite scents: I can smell vanilla with touch of strawberry and perhaps a hint of sandalwood. I do not detect any patchouli. 1-2 sprays last all day on me, so you should be careful not to overspray. Although the scent can be on the pricy side, a bottle will last long time, since it is so strong. I will definitely repurchases when my current bottle is gone. I believe this scent is more suited for colder months.

Fabulous fragrance--a very close second to Chopar Casmir for my favorite scent of all time. This is a light yet sophisticated fragrance. Perfect for any time wear. It's a musky, fruity, vanilla-y fragrance that just makes you feel good. Another one that makes my husband want to nibble on me. My only gripe with this perfume would have to be that it doesn't seem to last long enough. A minor concern for such a wonderful scent, though.

The fragrance is very light and starts of sweet, but turns to a fresh baby powder scent after a while. I find myself reapplying the scent in the afternoon if I am going out later in the evening. I have lots of perfumes in my bathroom. All of them are upscale, pricey scents that I've purchased at Nordstrom and Macy's. For my birthday I received a bottle of Hanae Mori. I loved it right away. It was sweet, but not overpowering. It smells like something good to eat. I think all my scents are on the sweet side, but this one is the best. I switch off between my favorites like I always have. I noticed people started to compliment me on the days I wore Hanae Mori. First it was my boss, who has never given me a compliment, ever. Then it was the grocery store clerk, then some lady standing in line at the ATM. She actually asked what it was called and where I bought it. This is definitely a scent for Fall and Winter. It has a sugary smell with a bit of spice. Not too much, not too heavy. It lasts all day and seems to smell even better by the evening. It is a very romantic perfume and I would suggest this as a gift for someone who likes any of the following, Alfred Sung, Michael Korz, Gucci RUSH, Nicole Miller, or Estee Lauder's Beautiful. I would put them all in the same category for evening or special occasions. I love this perfume and I will definitely buy another bottle when I run out.

Tied for my all time favorite perfume! This fragrance has several different floral and fruity notes, none of them vanilla, but surprisingly vanilla is what this scent most smells like. Usually when I wear this I earn a nuzzle on the neck from the guy in my life! Fun for everyday but sensual enough for a date.

Hanae Mori Butterfly is a sweet scent (cotton candy like) with a strawberry and floral mix. It is very unique in that it’s sweet but not very fruity. It has amazing lasting power and really takes a presence. It’s a scent that lingers around wherever you go, but is not overpowering or too invasive. The best part of Butterfly is that it is feminine and young, but not childish.

Sweet, but much more interesting than your basic vanilla fragrance, and much more sophisticated. Notes of almond and strawberry do smell a little like vanilla- but give it more depth and interest. The EDP can be strong, too much for hot days, I'd spray lightly at anytime. The body creme is also fabulous, has a slightly richer and different smell, which layers nicely with the fragrance.
