Review of Vetiver by Dr M

I often prefer men's colognes because I find women's too sweet, and Guerlain's Vetiver has become my signature scent. It's fresh and woodsy, with the underlying warm notes that come from vetiver, and the scent stays on my skin all day without becoming cloying. Its mood is both natural and elegant. If you like fresh scents with some depth and complexity, try Vetiver. Highly recommended!

Review of Vetiver by Pl Carelli

I have been wearing this cologne for more than 20 years. It is largely my "summer scent." It's citrus notes are just the right scent after a shower on a hot summer day...It has one of the cleanest dry downs and I discovered vetiver and my chemistry work so well together. This scent made me not afraid to try men's colognes and now I look for scents with tobacco, cedar, vertiver...and florals. It doesn't get much better than this!

Review of Vetiver by Paco Kulaga

I had used Vetiver for a number of years, but for one reason or another, I changed colognes, maybe because it became difficult to find. When I checked your site, I was really happy to see it available, and at a really nice discount. The order came promptly, and it's made my wife even happier than I to have that wonderful Vetiver scent back again. It was like renewing an old friendship.

I discovered this scent about two years ago and have loved it ever since. I have gotten so many compliments since I started wearing it. It reacts very well with my skin and last all day. It is now one of my favorites.

Powerful fragrance that is ellegant and sexy at the same time. Very old French fragrance used by many distinguished gentlemen. I sometime like to spray it on since I like mens fragrances more than womans.

Review of Vetiver by Nigel Prance

I have been using Vetiver for twenty five years. No matter where I travel -- Paris, Venice, Florence -- people recognize the scent. It is a classic and, as such, in a class of its own. One must keep in mind, however, that different eau de colognes interact in different ways with one's body chemistry. So, preferences are purely subjective.

Bought this in Paris at the Guerlain store. I liked it a lot. Definitely a clean smell. Settles down after a half hour and last a long time. I would not reccomend this one for everyone. A different cologne, but I got tired of it after a few months.

Review of Vetiver by Scent Hound

Their is a long standing controversy as to whether Guerlain changed the formula of Vetiver in 2000. Did Guerlain change the formula? Of course they did! The newer one has more citrus, and the notes have been technicolored. Now, the pepper, tobacco and cedar explode off the skin, whereas the older formula is a smoother blend. But the new one is nevertheless great. Complex, bracing and constantly developing, JP Guerlain's great masterpiece continues to entice.

VETIVER created by Jean-Paul Guerlain in 1961 when he was just eighteen years of age is a truly great men's fragrance with an impeccable reputation. Now presented in a fabulous bottle designed by Robert Granai of banded frosted glass and boxed in an attractive silver green carton.Maison Guerlain ,now owned by LVMH the company that collects luxury brands like other people collect stamps, is one of the worlds premier perfume houses. If you are in Paris you will find them on the Champs Elysées. If you can get past the construction workers that always seem to be doing something outside, you will find it a rewarding place to visit. This is an arid, sophisticated and so masculine fragrance good for any occasion and ideal for the summer months. As you would expect from a fragrance with this name it starts with a great citrus rush and then fades to a long lasting aroma of pepper, nutmeg, tobacco and tonka bean. The name Vetiver comes from a type of grass of the Poaceae family closely related to citronella and lemongrass. The roots are crushed to produce an oil. It takes more than three hundred kilos of roots to produce just one liter of oil.The best is said to come from the french island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean.

Review of Vetiver by Kim Souza

In my opinion Vetiver is the quintisential "all around scent" that any man(and many women as well) can wear with confidence. It is clean, envigorating... just stepped out of the shower fresh. The lemon, citrus top notes give way to pepper, cedar, tobacco & tonka bean. There is so much going on in this cologne yet it somehow can't help but make you feel grounded by its earthy qualities. It is so very versitale as well...fitting into just about any situation you can think of. There is a reason why this cologne is still so popular after 45 years. It is classic, perfection. A definate "must have" for the well-rounded fragrance wardrobe.

Review of Vetiver by Robert Uli

I find this fragrance to be refreshing, with a citrus top and enough depth to keep things interesting. It lasts well for what I consider to be a citrus fragrance (which usually do not last very long). It is also a scent that will not get you into any trouble - it will not upset anyone in just about any situation. It is a classic, and it is very versatile. My only gripe is that it is a little pedestrian - too common, as a lot of people wear this one.

WOW! Like freshly mown grass. Like a hay field in the middle of spring. This scent is a classic and if you like it, you adore it. If you don't, you'll probably abhor it. It's so fresh and green and addictive. You keep going to it everyday, ignoring the other scents in your wardrobe. So potent, so fresh. And so distinct. The best of the vetiver scents out there!

Vetiver is a very clean, fresh, and masculine fragrance that is also sexy and refreshing while lasting for hours. It is never offensive or overwhelming.
